Role Summary: The Wind Energy EU&SSA Services- Blade Inspector m/f will be a EU Wind Travel Technician who will be responsible for Blade inspections across the EU and Sub Saharian African (SSA) region.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Wind Energy Field Specialist - Blade Inspector, you will independently:
- Inspect and photograph internal and external blade damage, document findings, and assemble all associated paperwork as required to be posted for further action by Engineering
- Document all work performed using computer based service reporting procedures
- Communicate site status to engineering, customers, and management
- Provide wind turbine generator LOTO (Lock Out & Tag Out) support
Qualifications/Requirements: - Technical Education in electro technical or mechanical field in addition to significant experience in the blade manufacturing or field engineering services
- Very good IT Skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required
- Ability and willingness to work and climb heights up to 150 mt
- Valid driver's license B + BE
- Ability and willingness to work during night
- Fluent German and English skills (written and spoken)
Desired Characteristics: - Ability to read and understand mechanical and composite drawings
- Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision
- Understand technology of wind blade construction and repair
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and basic knowledge on settings of electronic testing devices
- Previous Experience in Non-Destructive Testing Methodology for Composite Material
