The BMC Digital Business Automation Consultant is responsible for implementing BMC solutions at customer sites and developing/evolving best practices for delivery of BMC Digital Business Automation Solutions.
The Consultant's primary responsibilities for the role are:
  • Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
  • Understand how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific IT functions or applications.
  • Understand enterprise scale, integrated applications from a process/business perspective
  • Implement, customize, and configure BMC products as part of a defined BMC Route to Value.
  • Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients as a means to improve BMC business margins.
  • Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the project manager and technical lead.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Identifies new or emergent business opportunities with Customers and coordinates with BMC Account teams for follow up.
  • Achieves utilization target and contributes to BMC knowledge through participation in internal initiatives.
  • Executes projects in compliance with the processes and standards of BMC
  • Excellence delivery methodology and fulfills all Ethics and Compliance training and testing requirements to protect BMC interests and assets at all times.
Qualifications /Experience/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5(+) years of conversion experience with Workload Automation Software (CA7, CA-ESP, CA-Autosys, IBM, Tidal, Redwood)
  • 5(+) years of progressive experience in maintaining, designing and implementing Workload Automation solutions. (CA7, CA-ESP, CA-Autosys, IBM, Tidal, Redwood)
  • Programming/Scripting: Shell scripting, Batch programming, Python, JAVA, PERL, HTML Databases: Oracle, SQL Server Operating systems: Mainframe, Linux, Unix and Windows
Qualifications/Experience/Certifications (Desirable)
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Understanding of different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • SaaS experience and Cloud Computing experience
  • Exposure to and involvement with multiple simultaneous projects and crossteam dependencies.
  • Project management skills and knowledge of BMC Workload Automation solutions
  • Control-M product certification
  • Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of effective use of SharePoint, Salesforce, OpenAir
