y5 was founded early 2019 following the strong need for support in digitalization projects within the finance and insurance industries in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Despite being a young company we already established strong relationships with our clients.
To strengthen our team we are looking for
Java Developers (m/f/x).
At our projects you will be typically working as part of a team. You will be involved in or responsible for one or multiple of these tasks:
- GUI Development: You are building the GUIs to extend existing applications with additional functionalities or build new ones.
- Business logic development: Based on software designs you are implementing business logic and automatized workflows.
- Web service development: Based on software designs you are extending existing web services or develop new ones.
- Support architecture decisions: You evaluate different solutions for tools, technologies, frameworks, … to aid the architecture and technology stack decisions of a project.
We are providing our services directly at our customer’s office. Travelling for up to 5 days per week is often part of our routine. Please reflect if this is suitable for your personal lifestyle (e.g. family, partnership) and your home (e.g. distance to nearest airport).
To be fit for the job you should be experienced or trained in these skills:
- Experience in Java 11 development using Eclipse
- Working with Jira in an agile environment
- Travelling flexibility
- Business fluent English
These additional skills are nice to have:
- B2-level German
- An academic degree in informatics or a related subject
- Experience in digitalization projects
- Experience in working in IT departments or medium/ large IT projects
- Experience in providing 1st/2nd/3rd level support
- Experience in SOAP/REST web service development
- Experience in client/server architectures
- Experience in ABS (Allianz Business System)
- Experience in JUnit testing
- Experience/ knowledge in insurance
