Functional Area: Sales & Business Development

  • Fostering QIAGEN’ s sample-to-insight offering and developing workflow sales from sample isolation down to data analysis and interpretation.
  • Selling directly to customers (phone and visits), delivering training and seminars.
  • Increasing sales by actively selling to end users. Supporting other specialists and representatives and developing tactical plans to maximize revenues. 
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and references. Increase customer satisfaction. Develop new business opportunities in biomedical research labs, pharma & biotech.
  • Responsible for forecasting country related product revenues and reaching country budgets.
  • Work closely together with local and regional marketing managers to provide market feedback and to contribute to country action plans. Work with Pan-European teams to align actions and leverage synergies to exceed sales targets.
  • Actively utilize CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness “in front of” the customer and aid sales. 
  • Organization of meetings/communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units.

  • Minimum education: Master of Science, PhD or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience.
  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies and applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant markets.
  • Fluent German and English skills, an additional language would be a plus.

  • Highly motivated and self-organised person with the ability to work independently and in teams in a structured manner.
  • Willingness to travel across the DACH countries and the Netherlands.
